Both parties enter this Agreement with the intention of bringing The Project into TechUp, an initiative by The IO Foundation, to support The Project and the broader TechUp Community.
This Agreement will enter in effect immediately from The Date until the end of the last of The Seasons. This agreement can be made void by any of the parties with a prior notice of 2 months to be filed through the FOSS Management Interface.
To qualify as a FOSS Partner, The Project must verify the following requirements (hereinafter The Requirements):
You manage a FOSS Project for which you are seeking for support which:
is managed by an individual, a Community Partner or an Organization Partner
is licensed under a recognized license by the Open Source Initiative
does not have a parallel licensing model under which it is sold commercially The project can be in any implementation phase (from ideation to deployed)
does not charge contributors with a fee to collaborate in it (If you do, you can still participate in TechUp as a Sponsor Partner)
Abide by The IO Foundation’s Code of Conduct
Attend at least 1 orientation session
Provide the TechUp team with all the necessary on your side to run high quality activities
Important Please keep in mind that TechUp is an initiative dedicated to foster collaboration among its community.
Projects that are attempting, in any form or shape, to
benefit of free labor by engaging volunteers or
evaluate prospect candidates’ performance through their contributions
will be immediately suspended from the community.

or contact us.
By signing this Agreement The Project confirms to verify The Requirements.
By signing this Agreement TechUp commits to not update The Requirements without prior notice. Any such updates would be reflected on a posterior Agreement.
By participating in TechUp as a FOSS Partner, The IO Foundation will ensure that you will be granted the following benefits (hereinafter The Benefits):
Access to the TechUp Space Your project members, as well as other people you may invite or attract, can access all publicly accessible activities and engage with a global community of technologists. See the full list here. LEARN BUILD CONNECT
Ability to run your own activities This includes the possibility of broadcasting to your own media channels.
1 virtual booth Allows you to showcase your project, run private activities and allow people to contact you.
Increased exposure
Customized promotion materials This will allow you to promote your project and activities more easily.
Promotion of your project in TechUp's official channels We will give exposure to your community, at least once per Season.
Possibility to run a session presenting your project You will have the opportunity to showcase your project to the TechUp Community.
Possibility to have a segment presenting your project in our Codefield productions You will have the opportunity to showcase your project across TIOF's Codefield audience.
Global platform announcements Presenting your community and encouraging participants to reach out to you.
Assistance before, during and after your activities from the TechUp crew We provide a comprehensive help and provide regular updates with new features and activities.
Statistics after each of your activities So that you can analyze how did your activities perform.
Platform updates The platform used for the TechUp Space releases new features very often, of which TechUp will inform you regularly.
By signing this Agreement The Project acknowledges The Benefits.
By signing this Agreement TechUp commits to upholding The Benefits.
By signing this Agreement, The Project also acknowledges that while the platform used by TechUp may deploy new features, these will may not be immediately available.
By participating in TechUp as a Project Partner, and in order to maintain your status, The Project will need to make sure to comply with the following Commitments (hereinafter The Commitments):
Abide by The IO Foundation’s Code of Conduct and the Dhatham House Rule at all times and in all your activities
Not charge your members, or anyone you invite to your activities, a fee to access TechUp or to collaborate in your project. (If you do, you can still participate in TechUp as a Sponsor Partner)
Provide TechUp with the necessary information about your FOSS project
Name, Description, Logo, Website, etc.
Your public repo URL
At least 1 email address that will be associated with your booth (Provided in the signature of this Agreement)
The necessary to connect your broadcast channels, should you decide to do so
Participation (for each of The Seasons)
Organize at least 1 activity
Participate in at least one FOSS Sprint
Dress up your booth no later than 7 natural days after joining TechUp
Promote TechUp and your activities among your own members and networks (you can use your own collaterals or the customized ones TechUp will provide you)
Coordinate with the TechUp team to ensure the best experience across your activities and the whole TechUp Space.
By signing this Agreement The Project commits to abide by The Commitments.
Failure of compliance with The Commitments at any time during The Seasons will trigger a review of your TechUp Membership.
By signing this Agreement TechUp commits to not update The Commitments without prior notice. Any such updates would be reflected on a posterior Agreement.

Booths: Open Source Project
Communities are groups of technology enthusiasts that participate in TechUp to create a vibrant civic tech ecosystem that spans all over the globe.
TechUp is a vibrant, growing ecosystem composed by tech enthusiasts wanting to be an active part of designing and creating better and safer digital communities.
By participating in TechUp you will connect with fellow technology enthusiast, support FOSS Projects for impact and discover other organizations and resources that can help your own community grow.
Communities can join TechUp for free.
Communities join TechUp on a season basis. Each season corresponds to a natural year, from 1st January to 31st December.

TechUp offers support to Open Source projects via a global network of programmers and technologists.
During the TechUp weekend, selected Open Source projects get 10 minutes to pitch to the community, after which they can spend the weekend running sprints with help from the community.
In order for an Open Source project to be featured in TechUp, the following criteria must be met;
The project must be hosted on platform such as GutHub, GitLab etc
There must be a publicly available Repository
The project should have at least 10 stars on the Git platform
To propose an Open Source project, please reach out to us via this , and we'll reach to make the necessary arrangements.
